Ezra Sosa isn’t dancing around the negativity.
The Dancing With the Stars pro set the record straight on the speculation that he doesn’t get along with partner Jordan Chiles, pushing back at negative comments they received following the Oct. 7 show.
“I’ve been seeing things circulating about my partner online,” Ezra said in an Oct. 10 video posted on Instagram. “Claiming that she is a mean girl. Claiming that I’m not having a good time with her. Honesty, it couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Ezra also shared that the root of the comments stemmed from Jordan’s reaction during the broadcast when it appeared she abruptly walked off stage after they got their scores. However, it wasn’t the case.
“They told Jordan that she needed to move immediately after scores cause they had to announce tour,” he explained. “Personally, I don’t think that was a good time to do it because when you look back at it, she’s gonna take direction and she’s gonna leave the shot.”
Ezra also spoke to the fans who commented on Jordan’s demeanor after she “jokingly” requested he put her down later in the broadcast.
“For those of you who do not know Jordan and I and our dynamic it is very much a brother and sister,” the dancer noted. “When that moment happened, I didn’t think much of it. I thought it was hysterical. But slowly and slowly, day after day, the comments were getting worse and worse and worse.”
The 24-year-old made it clear that he can handle the comments “like a champ” but he’s not going to stand for negativity for Jordan, also 24.

“It just breaks my heart because that’s not my experience with her at all,” Ezra emphasized. “She is truly a remarkable person and I’m so, so grateful that she came into my life. We’re allowed to be our own individual selves and sometimes our dynamic may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is certainly mine and we’re on this journey together and it is so special.”
He added, “And I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that it is reflected as such.”
Jordan also spoke to where she and Ezra stand amid the rumors.
"Me and @ezra.sosa relationship is perfectly fine,” the Olympic gold medalist wrote in a since-expired Instagram Story. “We laugh, joke and I'm pretty sure you can tell our connection is pretty good through our social media. I don't want this to be a thing where you guys don't vote and all this stuff because of things you guys make up in your heads."
"I came on this show to have fun and enjoy a new chapter of my life,” she wrote. “Thank you to everyone who has been having my back I appreciate it. Love you guys!”
