A couple of AEW fan-favorites made history this Wednesday to become the first-ever holder of the Women's World Tag Team Titles. One half of the winners in question, Harley Cameron, has now received a congratulatory message from veteran Dustin Rhodes.

It was earlier in September that Tony Khan officially unveiled the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championships, besides announcing a tournament to crown the inaugural title-holders. The brackets for the single elimination series were announced in October, and featured eight teams overall, including the duo of Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, together known as The Babes of Wrath.

The babyface duo walked into the tourney as the underdogs, defeating the mega alliance of Mercedes Mone and Athena in the quarterfinals and then beating The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) in the semis to shockingly make their way to the finals. This Wednesday at AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming, The Babes of Wrath overcame the Timeless Love Bombs, the team of Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, to officially become the first-ever All Elite Women's Tag Team Champions.

After Harley took to X/Twitter a few hours ago to celebrate her massive victory with a photograph of her newly won belt, the star received a congratulatory message from Dustin Rhodes, who voiced his pride in Cameron, writing:

"Proud of you!!!" - posted Dustin.

It remains to be seen who Harley and Willow's first set of challengers will be.

Dustin Rhodes' timeline for AEW return

Dustin Rhodes has been out of action since dropping his TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher on AEW Collision several months ago. The Natural went under the knife for double knee replacement this past August, and has been on the mend since then.

Despite his age, Rhodes has been able to keep up with the Tony Khan-led company's current top names as well as its up-and-coming prospects. When a fan recently wondered on X/Twitter regarding his recovery (and the recovery of Will Ospreay), Dustin revealed that he had been training hard to return to programming, and that he might be back in the company by next year's February or March.

"Thank you for asking. Can't speak for Will, but I am working hard in PT to get back to you guys. I will most likely be back late Feb, early March. I am 56, and nothing will hold me back from this goal." - wrote Rhodes.

Thank you for asking. Can't speak for Will, but I am working hard in PT to get back to u guys. I will most likely be back late Feb, early March. I am 56 and nothing will hold me back from this goal.

Will Ospreay is also on hiatus from All Elite Wrestling, having undergone successful neck surgery this past September.
