Dustin Johnson ends speculation of returning to the PGA Tour

Rumors of Dustin Johnson returning to play on the PGA Tour emerged on social media after a poor season on LIV Golf. Remaining with no wins on the Saudi-based league for the season, the American golfer has reportedly signed to stay back in the league for 2026.

Having missed the cut in three of the four Major championships this year, the 41-year-old was rumored to return on the PGA Tour in hopes of gaining better Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) standings and more starts. However, as per a report from Flushing It Golf, he will be returning as a captain for 4Aces GC.

The report read (via X @flushingitgolf):

"Multiple sources confirm that Dustin Johnson has signed a new contract with LIV Golf. The details of the deal are unknown at this stage, but the 2022 Individual Championship winner was in New York recently to meet with officials and will be returning as captain of 4 Aces GC in 2026. There’s been lots of speculation about star names leaving the league, but we understand that most players up for renewal this year have already agreed terms and will be teeing it up next season, with all players not released or relegated also expected to do so."

Dustin Johnson was one of the first big-name golfers to sign with LIV Golf in 2022. According to Golf Magic, he signed a three-year deal with the league back in 2022 for a figure worth more than $100 million.
