The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a major injury scare against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday after wide receiver Xavier Worthy left the contest to be evaluated for a possible concussion.
During the first quarter of Sunday's game, Worthy hit his head on the ground while attempting to haul a pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs wide receiver took another hit after Chargers cornerback Donte Jackson's thigh collided with his head.
Worthy, who was hurt by the impact, remained of the field before being helped off it by others.

"Dude is always hurt." "He’s always injured. We need bigger receivers man."He’s always injured. We need bigger receivers man.
Who cares !!!! He’s WEAK AF. Not a player they need to invest anymore time and effort into going forward. Offense has no use for players like him when the coaches don’t even know wtf they are doing themselves. Relying on him to be developed by Embree, Pinkston and Nagy is a joke
Mahomes and Chiefs passing game have absolutely disappeared again
most fragile WR this team has drafted
Earlier this year, Worthy hurt his shoulder against the same team when the Chiefs faced the Chargers in Brazil. The Chiefs wide receiver collided with teammate Travis Kelce and missed two games due to the injury.
Chiefs wide receiver returned against Chargers after clearing concussion protocol
The Chiefs entered Sunday's matchup without wide receiver Marquise Brown, who was unavailable due to personal reasons. Worthy was taken to the locker room and was placed in the concussion protocol.
However, Chiefs fans were relieved after Worthy cleared the protocol and returned to the game in the second quarter. The Chiefs, who headed to the must-win game with a 6-7 record, held a 13-10 advantage at halftime after two field goals from Harrison Butker in the second quarter.
