Drake Maye's first Super Bowl also comes with his first Super Bowl Opening Night, as the New England Patriots quarterback took the stage Monday night.
Maye is the first Patriots quarterback to make the Super Bowl since Tom Brady, so it was fitting that he got asked a Tom Brady-question. In 2017, before Brady led the Patriots to the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, Brady choked up when he said his dad was his hero.
On Monday night, Maye got asked the same question regarding who are his heroes, and he gave a similar answer.
"Probably my older brothers," Maye said. "I was chasing my older brothers, they all had a passion, it was just trying to find a passion for myself that I could kind of follow them."

Drake Maye brothers
Maye is the youngest of four brothers, and all of them are athletes in their own right. Luke and Beau Maye played college basketball for North Carolina, as Luke helped the Tar Heels win the 2017 national championship. Additionally, Cole Maye pitched for the Florida college baseball team and won the 2017 College World Series.
After Maye was drafted third overall by the Patriots in 2024, his three older brother sent him a message poking fun at him.
