Donovan Mitchell on winning a championship: 'This is the time'

The Cleveland Cavaliers are finding form in the East, having won nine of their last 10 games and jumping to fourth place in the conference.

Before acquiring James Harden, Cleveland had won seven of their last eight. Since his debut, the Cavaliers have gone undefeated with two straight wins.

But, it's not only the acquisition of Harden that has seen them improve. Cleveland also made a solid move to grab both Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroder from the Sacramento Kings for Deandre Hunter.

Given their recent success and their aggressive acquisitions, there's only one focus for the Cavaliers as the postseason nears: a championship focus.

Donovan Mitchell recently opened up on that notion, embracing the pressure that comes with competing at the highest level. "When you make that move (Harden trade), what are you making it for? To win a championship. That’s what it is. The organization is basically saying, this is the time. And I love it. Now we have to go out there and do it. We are not running from that as a group.”

Jarrett Allen also spoke on how things have changed in Cleveland since the deal was made saying: “Everybody feels a new energy and another belief that we can go even farther than we did last year."

Cleveland and Harden will have more time to get acclimated in their next two matchups, facing two of the three worst teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers will return to action Wednesday against the Washington Wizards and then will pick things up after the All-Star break against the Brooklyn Nets.
