Dodgers predicted to move on from oft-injured star due to CBA, and it isn’t Kyle Tucker

The Los Angeles Dodgers have made a lot of good moves over the past few years, and it's almost scary to think about how much better they'd be if the team were healthy.

While that's part of the Dodgers' problem, as they know some of these guys have had injury histories in the earlier stages of their careers, it doesn't take away from the fact of how good the Dodgers would be if guys like Tyler Glasnow were healthy.

For those reasons and more, it's not crazy to say that Glasnow should be traded if Major League Baseball implements a salary cap. If the salary cap comes in, the Dodgers will have some work to do in terms of moving on from guys, and it was recently predicted that the Newhall, California native would be the pick.

“Remaining contract: 1 year, $27.3 million + $30 million club option

“The Los Angeles Dodgers would probably try to trade Kyle Tucker, but is a team really going to pay him roughly $60 million for potentially the next three years with how he's played this season? That'd be a fairly hard sell. Given that, Tyler Glasnow might make more sense as a cap casualty,” Zachary Rotman wrote.

With how poorly Kyle Tucker has played for his standards in Los Angeles, it might make more sense to move on from him. Teams might not be too willing to take on Tucker's deal, but it's also tough to envision a team wanting to take Glasnow, either, considering his injury history.
