Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf grabbed headlines after he appeared to hit a fan during the second quarter of the game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

During the second quarter of the game, Metcalf, who was standing up against the stands, grabbed a Lions fan who was leaning over the barrier at Ford Field. Following the game, the fan, Ryan Kennedy, was accused of hurling a racial slur at the Steelers WR.

However, Kennedy denied those allegations in a press conference along with his lawyer on Friday.

"I want to be crystal clear about one thing: I didn't use any racial slurs, no hate speech, none of that stuff at the game," Kennedy said. "Actually, never. 15 years have been a ticket holder for the Lions and I've never done that.

"So DeKaylin (Metcalf), if you're watching this man, if you could just say that, please, like, my family's getting threats and stuff, and it's not cool. So whether you said that or not, I'm sure you didn't want that to happen to the family, even if you did, like, I forgive you, man."

NFL fans didn't buy the Lions fan's statement and called him a "liar."

"Liar." "Dipsh** with scum bag attorney."

The Steelers wide receiver has been suspended for two games for his actions, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. It will also void his $45 million in guarantees on his $150 million contract extension. However, the Pro Bowler is reportedly set to appeal the suspension.

Ryan Kennedy's lawyer denies ex-Bengals wide receiver's accusations

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson alleged on his “Nightcap” podcast that Ryan Kennedy called DK Metcalf a racial slur.

“Obviously I am not condoning putting your hands on a fan or punching the fan but he did call him a racial slur, called him the n-word and he did call his mom a c—t,” Johnson said.

However, Kennedy's lawyer, Shawn Head, who sat beside him during the press conference, denied those allegations, saying the investigation didn't support the "false" claims.

“Ryan Kennedy did not use the n-word. Ryan Kennedy did not use the c-word, and he did not use any racial slurs whatsoever, at any time,” Head said. “Those claims are absolutely false. "They’re not supported by any audio or video recordings, they’re not supported by any eyewitness statements and they’re not supported by the investigation that was conducted by Ford Field personnel on the day of the incident.”

According to reports, Kennedy and Metcalf have got history as the former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver had reported the Lions fan last season.
