Digital comics service InkyPen to launch on Steam on November 18, 2025

The digital comics space is heating up yet AGAIN, as InkyPen, an all-you-can-read service that focuses on distribution via gaming platforms, has announced its debut on Steam on November 18.

The move had been teased in the past, but the launch date had not been announced. A subscription on all platforms is $7.99 or the local equivalent.

A small Norway-based tech company, InkyPen has been selling comics on website and on the Nintendo Switch platform and carries publishers including Dark Horse, IDW, Kodansha and Dynamite and many more.

The Inky Pen app on Steam will offer cross-platform support, allowing existing users to carry over their reading progress and subscription to the new platform, while new users can jump onto their Nintendo Switch for comics on the go.

“Easy access to the world’s best comics is our dream for InkyPen. We love Games, Manga & Comics and we’re delighted to announce InkyPen is now coming to Steam. We hope gamers and other comic readers will enjoy InkyPen on Steam for years to come,”  dais Ronan Huggard, founder and CEO of InkyPen in a statement.

The announcement closed by teasing the addition of more publishers to InkyPen’s catalog – it seems publishers of all sizes are eager to be on as many platforms as possible. And as we’ve noted on more than one occasion, InkyPen offers something that no other platform does: a cute animal mascot, Inky the arctic fox! Seriously, people it’s all about the branding.

Those who want to check out InkyPen’s offerings can go to their Steam page.
