"Difference is mind-blowing" "A player not acting like a child": NFL fans split over Cooper Kupp and AJ Brown's comments on team play, offensive roles

NFL fans were shocked by the different mentalities Cooper Kupp and AJ Brown have shown when it comes to taking the spotlight. Ahead of his first game against his former team, the LA Rams, Kupp was asked if he felt the need to prove something to his old teammates.

He said he was preparing to play to the best of his abilities and not worrying about making the game about himself.

"You can't make this game about yourself," Kupp said. "It doesn't work that way. It's too much of a team game, it's too many guys on the field doing too many things set at a high level. It's just about control what you can control, being a positive part of whatever's called and executing at a high level and coming back and doing it over and over again."

Many fans noted how different his approach was compared to Brown's, who recently called the Eagles' offense a "s**t show."

"The difference is mind blowing," one fan said. "weird. a player not acting like a f***ing child, i’m so over aj brown," another fan said. "camp defending AJB in comments is laughable. 1,000 yds and won SB, was insufferable entire szn. Gets 9 targets, complains on social. Gets over 100 yards + clinching catch, complains again. Maybe he can mature or be diff w another team, but he is a giant d-bag right now," another fan said.

Others defended AJ Brown and said he wasn't in the same position as Cooper Kupp.

"washed kupp vs top wr in the league. wonder which one will complain about targets," one fan said. "washed kupp is gonna beat his drum saying he needs the ball? i don’t like aj’s crying either but let’s not compare because one is in his prime the other got booted from his team for not being good enough anymore," another fan added. "Hawks fan here. Kupp won a triple crown 4 years ago. He’s way past that era. AJ Brown can win the triple crown now, but doesn’t have a QB who can throw him the ball. AJ needs a trade. Problem solved," another fan said.

Cooper Kupp downplays return to Los Angeles

The Seattle Seahawks and the LA Rams will clash on Sunday in an NFC West showdown that will likely define the sole leader of the division. Cooper Kupp's return to SoFi Stadium adds more drama to the contest, but the wide receiver doesn't think it's that big of a deal.

"It's another football game," he said, via ESPN. "You get out there, play your game. I love these guys. I love so many of the guys over there. But at the end of the day, you've got to go play a football game. So that's going to be what it is."

Cooper Kupp won a Super Bowl with the Rams, becoming the game's MVP in one of the best offensive seasons in recent times.
