The New York Giants had a chance to win on Sunday, again.
This time, their blown lead came against the Chicago Bears. Caleb Williams ran for a late touchdown to stun the Giants.
They had already been dealt a major blow when Jaxson Dart left the game with a concussion. Russell Wilson took over, and he didn't have enough to get New York over the finish line.
That raised the heat on head coach Brian Daboll again, and a viral rumor after the game said Daboll was fired.
Not so fast.

Did the Giants fire Brian Daboll?
No, the Giants have not fired Brian Daboll.
The rumor about the head coach began with a fake post on X:
BREAKING: #Giants are firing HC Brian Daboll.
— Wesley Steinberg (@WesSteinberg) November 9, 2025That account is known for posting fake news that is meant to capture the mood of the moment and get engagement.
The post about Daboll's firing has more than two million views as of 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Daboll could eventually have his job in trouble, although the Giants' decision will likely depend on whether they feel he gels well with Dart.
For now, Daboll still has his job. No real NFL insiders have posted anything to the contrary.
The seat is still hot, though.
