There are a wealth of amazing Barbarian builds for Diablo 4 Season 11, that’s for sure. Thanks to a variety of buffs, and perhaps new Uniques, they’re one of the classes with the most high-powered options. While Paladins might dominate the season in terms of popularity, that doesn’t mean other classes aren’t worth playing either.
In fact, before we knew that Paladins were coming, we picked one Barbarian build in particular to be the most overpowered, as we headed into Diablo 4 Season 11. Here are our picks for the best options, though it’s worth pointing out these are all endgame builds, so you want to at least be level 60, and likely have very specific Aspects and Uniques to make them work.
What are the best Barbarian builds for Diablo 4 Season 11?
1) HOTA Barbarian is easily the best Barbarian build for Diablo 4 Season 11
HOTA is back! In Pog form (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)That’s right, HOTA Barbarian is back and better than ever in Diablo 4 Season 11! This is thanks to a variety of updates, too. Melted Heart of Selig was buffed, and Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus also sees a great deal of use in this build. You also want Mantle of Mountain’s Fury, and Aspect of Ancestral Force.
You also want Earthquakes Aspect, and the Tec Rune, and before long, you’ll have Earthquakes popping off everywhere. This build uses Hammer of the Ancients to make your Earthquakes explode, doing massive amounts of damage for very little work. It’s an excellent build, with its only real weakness is that it’s not as fast as some other builds.
2) Earthquake Barbarian
Aspect of Bul-Kathos makes Leapquake go (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)Most of these Diablo 4 Season 11 Barbarian builds are going to be, in some way, Earthquake builds. While this build also uses Hammer of the Ancients as an option, it’s not the main weapon. You can trigger your Earthquakes, if you’d like, via HOTA and Mantle of Mountain’s Fury.
This is Leapquake, though. Thanks to Bul-Kathos Aspect, Chainscourged Mail, and the aforementioned pieces, we can just leap and Earthquake at will, smashing through enemies with ease. It’s sort of a silly build, but it’s a lot of fun, but it does have quite a few requirements.
In addition to the other mentioned pieces, you also want Tec Rune, because it triggers Earthquake. We pair it with Moni, since we’re spamming the Mobility ability Leap. You’ll have more quakes than you know what to do with!
3) Whirlwind Barbarian
It's time to channel your inner Garen (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)Even Whirlwind Barbarian is still kind of an Earthquake build for Barbarians in Diablo 4. It creates swarms of Dust Devils and Earthquakes to clear screens. I like this build in particular, because it doesn’t require a ton of things. It does require Tec Rune again though, so you have a way to trigger Earthquakes.
While it doesn’t seem to require any Uniques to function, there are a few you’re going to want to have around: Ugly Bastard Helm, Mantle of Mountain’s Fury, Fists of Fate, Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus and Arreat’s Bearing. It’s an easy build, though: Whirlwind everywhere, and create Dust Devils/Earthquakes in the process!
4) Bash Barbarian
I'm just glad to see Basic skill builds popping off like this (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)Bash Barbarian is another flavor of HOTA Barbarian in Diablo 4 Season 11, but I think it’s probably easier to set up. To get the most out of it you’ll want a nice selection of Uniques, though: Ugly Bastard Helm, Rage of Harrogath, Paingorger’s Gauntlets, Battle Trance, Hooves of the Mountain God, Shard of Verathiel, and Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus.
However, the actual gameplay is simple. You pop your huge suite of buffs, and spam Bash! Then, when HOTA is back up, you hit that, too. It’s smooth, easy, and stomps away at all game modes with ease. Like HOTA though, it’s a little on the slow side in terms of speed. It excels everywhere else.
5) Lunging Strike Barbarian
Since Lunging Strike is a Mobility Skill, we can get lots of free Overpowers (Image via Blizzard Entertainment)Lunging Strike is not only fun to use, but it’s one of the best Diablo 4 Season 11 best Barbarian builds again! It’s pretty much a one-button build where you just Lunging Strike to all of your targets and get guaranteed Overpowers (Moni+Xan).
Thanks to Hooves of the Mountain God, Shard of Verathiel, Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus and Paingorger’s Gauntlets, you become a non-stop killing machine. In addition, consider Ugly Bastard Helm, Rage of Harrogath, Battle Trance, and Tibault’s Will.
This is all about using the power of Basic Skills (Lunging Strike), Ground Stomp, and a host of other buffs (War Cry, Challenging Shout, Iron Skin) and our ultimate of Wrath of the Berserker to lunge our way through any foe. Eventually you’re going to want Melted Heart of Selig as well because it’s so strong for Barbarian builds right now.
