It has been almost a year since Kevin Owens has been able to step into a WWE ring, but finally, it seems that there is some good news coming his way.

Congratulations go out to the former Universal Champion because January 2nd marks 9 years since the debut of his very own talk show. The Kevin Owens Show made its WWE debut on January 2nd, 2017, and had Goldberg as its first guest ahead of the battle between the two men over the Universal Championship.

Owens was seen as one of the company's biggest stars at the time, and the show became a major factor for him across both brands and during his story with Chris Jericho.

Kevin Owens is out of action with a neck injury following major surgery

It has been a turbulent year for Kevin Owens after he was forced out of action following a severe neck injury, which led to him missing WrestleMania, where he was scheduled to be part of a match with Randy Orton.

Owens has since undergone surgery, and it's unclear if he will ever be able to return to the ring. Neck injuries have been a problem for wrestlers for years, with the likes of Edge and Paige being able to make their return, whilst Big E remains on the sidelines following his injury almost four years ago.

Owens waited for several months to see if there was an option outside of surgery, but underwent the procedure back in 2025 and is now hoping to be able to rehab and make his return. There has been no real update on the situation when it comes to his health, but no news is good news right now and it could take him several years before he's cleared to step back in the ring.
