Dez Bryant joins RGIII-Ryan Clark beef over LSU Tigers women’s basketball legend Angel Reese’s rivalry with Caitlyn Clark

The sports media world is getting a little carried away with its overassessment of Caitlyn Clark’s hard foul on LSU Tigers women’s basketball legend Angel Reese that took place Saturday afternoon.

Retired NFL receiver Dez Bryant decided to weigh in going to X to voice his opinion on Robert Griffin III and Ryan Clark’s back-and-forth that has caught the media world on fire.

“Ryan Clark didn’t attack your family all he did was throw back in your face what you were aware of. He’s trying to get you to understand that you did a poor job with journalism. You really took it outside of sports bro. You pushed a negative narrative that’s been projected on Angel Reese whenever the world learned who she was. The way you expressed hate was outside of the arena … the world shouldn't have had this uproar because Angel Reese reacted to a foul…I'm just saying,” Bryant tweeted.

While I do agree with Bryant that the world shouldn’t have had this uproar because of Reese reacting to a foul, I don’t agree that Ryan Clark had attacked RGIII’s family.

Should Ryan Clark be fired by ESPN for his comments about RGIII’s wife?

With most situations like these, most companies like to wash their hands clean of any controversial battles like this.

ESPN just last year fired Sam Ponder and Robert Griffin III on the same day. Both worked at the network for several years.

Then, the year before last year, ESPN fired Sage Steele for her comments.

MLFootball posted on their X account the day it happened:

“Does Ryan Clark deserve to be fired by ESPN for his comments about RG3 and his wife today…?”

Time will tell if Clark will suffer the same fate as Ponder and Griffin himself after a meeting with ESPN's higher-ups.
