Jalen Brunson finished the game with 25 points while Josh Hart contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. The duo have been friends since their Villanova University days, and their chemistry was evident during and after the finals. The Knicks will fancy their chances of making the playoffs this season, and they'll look to rely on their stellar backcourt duo at the business end of the season.

Dez Bryant's Dallas Cowboys are on the brink of playoff elimination

One team that's almost certainly not going to make the playoffs this year is Dez Bryant's Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are 6-7-1 entering Week 16, and possess a 1% chance of making the postseason.

The Cowboys are having a season to forget under first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer. They compiled a 3-5-1 record entering their Week 9 bye.

However, Dak Prescott and Co. saw an improvement in results after their week off. The Cowboys beat the Las Vegas Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, and Kansas City Chiefs to improve their record to 6-5-1. It gave them a decent shot at reaching the playoffs.

However, a Week 14 loss to the Detroit Lions knocked the wind out of America's team's sails. Then, their Week 15 loss against the Minnesota Vikings virtually confirmed that the Cowboys will miss the postseason for the second straight season.

Next up is a Week 16 game against a red-hot Los Angeles Chargers team. Jim Harbaugh's troops are 10-4, and are fresh off ending the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff dreams. It's a game that the Chargers enter as significant favorites.

Dez Bryant spent eight seasons with the Cowboys, and helped the team to the playoffs twice. This campaign will be considered a disappointment, and Jerry Jones will have some difficult decisions to make in the offseason.
