Destiny 2 weekly reset (December 23 to 30): New Dawning week, Equilibrium loot reset, new alerts, and more

The second week of Destiny 2 Dawning 2025 is scheduled to bring in some core changes to the game, alongside new rewards in the Vanguard alert menu, Equilibrium Dungeon's loot, and much more. The upcoming weekly update also marks the penultimate reset of the year, with the final reset on December 30 marking this year's Dawning finale.

Players are recommended to farm all the limited-time weapons from the event before it goes away. Here's everything you will find with the weekly reset on December 23.

Here is a list of things that can be expected with the upcoming weekly reset:

• Dawning 2025 second week.
• New Vanguard alerts.
• Kepler's Edge of Fate new campaign high-difficulty missions.
• New weekly challenges in the seasonal hub.
• New Shipments on your allied Syndicate.
• Keep of Honed Edges Ascendant Challenge on Dreaming City.

1) Equilibrium loot reset

The new Dungeon, Equilibrium, will have its loot reset for all your three characters after the reset. This includes the Exotic Crossbow from the final encounter, and the two secret chests hiding in two different corners of the entire Dungeon tileset. Note that the Legendary armor pieces and weapons from the three major encounters are all farmable.

2) Dawning second week

The second week of Dawning will grant you the chance to get the Star Baker seal, or gild it, alongside some limited-time weapons from the event. You can refer to our complete guide on the Dawning 2025 weapons, and choose a perk combination that suits your playstyle.

There is a secret weapon that can drop from Portal activities with "Dawning Engrams" as bonus drop, called Gizmo Weft. It is a Strand Grenade Launcher with very low chance to drop, and limited-time for players to get only during an event's runtime.

3) Vanguard alerts

The alerts section within the seasonal hub will be filled with new activities and a new set of challenges. Look out for the new Grandmaster alert with a Tier 5 weapon, alongside other activities for more loot.
