Newly crowned ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu of Mongolia vows to remain hungry even after achieving his wildest dreams.

‘The Tormentor’ made history by becoming his country’s second ONE world champion by dethroning Fabricio Andrade of Brazil via submission at ONE Fight Night 38 on Dec. 5.

It was a legacy-defining moment for the 36-year-old veteran, who upped his record to 14-3 and even collected a cool $50,000 performance bonus for his incredible victory.

Now a bona fide superstar after that epic showcase, Baatarkhuu promised to keep his feet planted on the ground and display the same drive now that he’s a world champion.

The Physical: Asia standout told Nick Atkin of the Bangkok Post in a recent interview:

"Since I became the champion, I don't have to work anymore. I just really can focus on training and my MMA career. So, on Enkh-Orgil, personality-wise, I'm still the same ol' Enkh-Orgil. Nothing has changed even with the belt. I'm still the same."

Aside from his elite fighting skills, it’s Baatarkhuu’s humility that has made him an absolute fan-favorite.

Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu never doubted his chances against Fabricio Andrade

Fabricio Andrade has earned a reputation as one of the most feared finishers in mixed martial arts.

His signature body shots have been the bane of most challengers, but Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu refused to be intimidated.

The new bantamweight MMA world champion told Nick Atkin:

“For Fabricio, you know, he’s still young. But his striking is so fast, and that is why I got some damage on my eyebrows and all. Before the fight – a few months before the fight, there were rumors that I may face Fabricio. And starting from that time, I knew I could beat him.”
