Lamar Jackson's status for Sunday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers has been one of the biggest storylines in the NFL ahead of Week 18. The veteran quarterback didn't play against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, when the Baltimore Ravens dominated the Packers 41-24 behind a memorable performance from running back Derrick Henry.
NFL insider Adam Schefter floated the possibility of Jackson taking the field again against the Steelers after practicing on Thursday.
"It now appears as though Lamar Jackson will start Sunday night at Pittsburgh," Schefter wrote.•

NFL executive skeptical about Ravens potentially trading Lamar Jackson away
While he recovers from a back injury, Lamar Jackson has been mentioned in trade rumors. The Ravens' struggles this season have prompted many to think they could go through major changes in the offseason, but not everybody believes in that possibility.
One NFL executive told Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports that the Ravens would be in a tough spot without Jackson. "Why would they do that?" an NFL executive asked me.
"Whatever issues they have with him, they’re a playoff team every year with Lamar. Who’s the quarterback there if they trade him?"The executive adds that it would take "many years" for Baltimore to replace a quarterback of Jackson's caliber.
