The Denver Nuggets will face a stern test against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday amid injuries to Nikola Jokic and two other starters. Jokic's availability is in jeopardy as he's questionable, making his status 50-50 for this marquee clash. The three-time NBA MVP is dealing with a left wrist sprain, according to Denver's latest injury report. He will likely be a game-time decision.
Jokic could join Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson on the sidelines if he sits. Braun is out for at least six weeks due to a left ankle sprain. The starting shooting guard sustained the injury on Wednesday against the Clippers.
Meanwhile, Johnson also injured himself against LA. He endured a right bicep strain. There's no timetable available for his return. Tamar Bates, DaRon Holmes II and Curtis Jones will be the other absentees. The trio is with the Nuggets' G League team.

If Jokic misses out, the Nuggets could be without three starters against a team that has their number. Denver is 4-1 in its last five meetings with Minnesota. The Nuggets won 127-114 in their first game against the Timberwolves this season on Oct. 27, but they were at full strength, while Minnesota was missing its best player, Anthony Edwards.

The Denver Nuggets will hope Jokic is available. If not, the expectations from Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon will be sky high as the only starters available to carry the team to a win. The Nuggets will also need more from the likes of Jonas Valanciunas, Bruce Brown and Peyton Watson, who will likely start.
