John Cena is set to retire from the world of professional wrestling on December 13th next month. At Saturday Night's Main Event, The Cenation Leader will compete against the winner of The Last Time is Now tournament in the final match. There were plenty of rumors that a 2-time AEW champion could be the final opponent of The Franchise Player. But as per an ex-WWE manager, it won't be the case.

For weeks, there have been rumors that former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, who has been a former FTW World Heavyweight Champion, could make his return to WWE to be the final opponent of John Cena. There are talks among wrestling fans that Jericho's AEW contract could be coming to an end by December. Therefore, he could be an opponent for The Cenation Leader. However, ex-WWE manager Dutch Mantell has something else to say about these rumors.

Speaking on Storytime with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE star said there is no chance Y2J will return as John Cena's final opponent at Saturday Night's Main Event. He added that WWE might choose someone from its roster as Cena's final opponent, rather than someone who has already built a name for himself worldwide.

“No, I don’t think he’s going to be his final opponent.” he said

John Cena set to make his last RAW appearance next week

John Cena has only three appearances left in WWE. Two of them are set to be for Survivor Series and his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, next week, The Cenation Leader will appear for his final RAW appearance at the iconic arena in New York.

Next week's RAW will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York. The company is advertising the show as Cena's final match at the iconic arena. Therefore, The Franchise Player will be in action against a potential top star.

Besides, the 17-time World Champion won the Intercontinental Championship this week. As a result, fans might see him defend the title next week on Monday Night RAW.
