Deni Avdija becomes Israel's all-time leading NBA scorer
Avdija is having a breakout season. The Trail Blazers is averaging 25.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game on 46.8% shooting. Earlier this month, the Israeli international became his country's all-time leading NBA scorer.
The Trail Blazers star scored 35 points in a 122-116 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Dec. 5 to surpass former Kings player, Omri Casspi in the all-time scoring list. After delivering a 35-point performance, the Blazers star brought his career tally to 4,648, surpassing Casspi's 4,642 career points.
As of now, Avdija has 4861 career points. He is in his sixth season in the league and his second with the Trail Blazers. If the Trail Blazers' forward continues his current pace, he can very well become the first Israeli to become an NBA All-Star.
