The “Heart Attack” hitmaker embraced her viral Poot meme for Halloween this year as the singer dressed up as the 10-year-old joke for the holiday.

In the opening slide, Lovato, 33, recreated the meme as she posed in a side-by-side with the image. She followed up the snap with a picture of herself pretending to be trapped in a garage.

In one of her TikTok clips, she acted like she was Poot attempting to escape by trying to lift and banging on the garage door.

“Happy halloween and happy one week of intd!!! been so locked in this era thought i’d let pootvato out,” she captioned the post, referencing her newest album “It’s Not That Deep,” which was released on Oct. 24.

Fans quickly hailed Lovato as the queen of Halloween as they cracked jokes about the enduring internet meme.

“Alright Halloween is over everyone. Pack it up. It belongs to demi this year better luck next year,” one netizen commented under the post.

“This is the funniest f–king thing you’ve ever done,” a second social media user commented.

“Welcome back poot we missed you,” a third person shared, adding a red heart emoji.

The story of Lovato’s viral Poot meme dates back to 2015 when a fan took to Tumblr with a washed-out photoshopped image of Lovato. The internet user crafted a fictional story, saying it was the former Disney Channel star’s long-lost twin sister who was locked away in a basement.

Lovato last spoke on the viral joke in April, saying that she would “never” let Poot “out of the basement” in a TikTok video.

She lip-synced to an audio on the platform and added the caption: “When someone asks me to let Poot out of the basement…”

“Wow, what an offer,” Lovato, 32, mouthed in the clip.

“And I’m never letting her out,” she wrote under the post.

Lovato has been a good sport about the joke and has cracked several quips about her meme over the years. In July 2023, she told Harper’s BAZAAR that she later became comfortable with the meme after she learned it was a photoshopped picture of her and not an actual photo.

“When Poot went viral, that actually sucked because I thought that was a real picture of me,” she told the outlet. “And I was like, ‘Oh, no. That’s a really bad angle.’ But Poot was photoshopped. Later, I felt better about it because I realized that wasn’t my face.”

“But it was definitely weird when it went viral,” she continued, adding that “it’s really funny to look back on.”
