As Days of our Lives turns 60, Deidre Hall, Jackée Harry and more were among the celebrities who stepped out in celebration of the classic soap opera's milestone.

Unlike sands through the hourglass, this celebration is far from fleeting.
Indeed, Days of our Lives—the iconic NBC soap opera that premiered Nov. 8, 1965, and included the likes of the late John Aniston, Drake Hogestyn and more—has officially been on the air for 60 years, making it one of the longest-running programs on TV to date.
And in honor of the historic milestone, a few of the show's stars including Deidre Hall, Susan Hayes and Jackée Harry were front and center for the gala held in Los Angeles. But that's not all, as fellow soap stars Raven Bowens, AnnaLynne McCord and Paul Telfer were also among the attendees for the festivities.
Ahead of the show's anniversary, Deidre—who has portrayed psychiatrist Marlena Evans since 1976—reflected on the show's longevity.
“None of us ever imagined being on this long,” she said during a joint Sept. 30 appearance with costars James Reynolds and Eric Martsolf on Today, “but it's so good and it's such a home and we love it, and I know we talk about family—it’s a family.”
As for costar James, he teased the cast's epic reunion, noting that fans will be thrilled to see their favorites from Salem, Illinois, all in one place again.
"People who watch the show for a long, long time are just going to be thrilled," James shared, "and people who are new to the show, they'll start to understand more and more of the history. So, really looking forward to it."

But there's plenty more to celebrate, as Days of our Lives' 60th anniversary celebration comes on the heels of the show being inducted into the Broadcasting+ Cable Hall of Fame. It's a feat that costar Eric joked felt like "just another Tuesday hanging out with these soap legends."
“It's nothing short of an honor,” he told Today. “It's crazy. I would have never imagined that I would be a part of a program that’s been on the air for 60 years, so the term legendary and icon—it suits our program at this point, and we take it very seriously. And like Deidre said, we are a family. We've been through everything together. And so, we're just happy to celebrate the show.”
