Shedeur Sanders didn't appear to be the answer the Cleveland Browns are seeking for their long-standing quarterback issue. The rookie quarterback had an abysmal outing in the Week 15 game vs. the Bears as the team lost 31-3, and Sanders couldn't even register a touchdown. He had a 17.7 passer rating.
Nonetheless, the Cleveland front office has reportedly agreed to give Sanders a fair chance before pulling the plug on the experiment. According to Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot, the franchise will skip selecting a quarterback in the 2026 NFL draft.
"I just have a feeling that they're going to analyze the whole thing and decide they want to move forward with him. I can't say for sure, yet, but it sort of has that vibe, feels like it's almost kind of trending in that direction," Cabot said today while appearing on '92.3 The Fan.'•
