Why GTA 6 should get detailed character trailers for Jason and Lucia

Ever since announcing a second delay, Rockstar Games has been quiet about GTA 6. Since the game is now set to release on November 19, 2026, many people in the community feel that the developers might not release any new trailer or information till next year.

Though no one knows when the next GTA 6 trailer could drop, an argument can be made that one of them should be exclusively for Jason or Lucia. Both protagonists of the game should receive their own trailers.

Reasons why GTA 6 should get detailed trailers of Jason and Lucia

GTA 5 had protagonist trailers

Back in 2013, the hype for GTA 5 was at an all-time high, almost similar to how it currently is in 2025. Fans were eagerly waiting for Rockstar Games to drop details about the game and its protagonists. The company delivered by releasing one-minute trailers for each of the three protagonists: Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Later, they combined the three to make yet another video.

Each of these videos received millions of views by the time the game came out, even though the internet was nowhere near as crowded as it is today. The trailers gave a sneak peek at each character's storyline, their personality, and more. The character trailers were extra special in GTA 5 since this was the first Grand Theft Auto title with three playable characters.

Since GTA 6 is once again bringing two playable characters, and the hype for the game is the biggest in gaming history, Rockstar Games should release two different trailers for Jason and Lucia.

Lack of details about Jason and Lucia

In May 2025, Rockstar Games announced the game's first delay, but also released its second trailer, its new website, 70 screenshots, and more. On GTA 6's website, the developers revealed loads of new information, including briefs about some of the main characters, including Jason and Lucia. However, there are still a lot of question marks about the two playable characters.

Though less information will increase the intrigue for the game, Rockstar's long, silent phases as the game approaches are quite painful for fans. Hence, they should release individual trailers for Jason and Lucia, which sheds a bit more light on their past and their current situation.
