Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs sounded off on the turf conditions of MetLife Stadium, the home field of the New York Giants.

While speaking with reporters in the locker room, he described the stadium as "the worst" and heavily criticized the field conditions. Jacobs also said that he will try not to jinx himself again by talking about MetLife Stadium the next time he plays there.

"Definitely the worst. Always been the worst," Jacobs said. "I know if I ever play there again, I will never talk about it because I talked about it all week, how bad it was, and it bit me in the a**."

Last week, during their 27-20 victory over the Giants, Josh Jacobs injured his knee. This resulted in him missing out on the second half ot the game as his status remains questionable for this Sunday's showdown against the Minnesota Vikings at home.

NFL players have been complaining about the turf conditions at MetLife Stadium over the past few years. Back in 2020, when the 49ers faced the Giants there, Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas both tore their ACLs, and even Jimmy Garoppolo ended up with a high ankle sprain. More than six players have had ACL or MCL injuries since then.

The Packers signed Josh Jacobs to a four-year deal worth $48 million in March 2024. Last season, he tallied 1,329 yards and 15 TDs rushing for the team. This year, the three-time Pro Bowler has recorded 648 yards and 11 TDs rushing.

Josh Jacobs breaks the silence on questionable status for Sunday's game against the Vikings

Josh Jacobs missed Wednesday's practice but was a limited participant on Thursday. He also took part in training on Friday, despite being labeled as questionable for their Week 12 game.

Jacobs said that if he is benched as a precautionary measure this weekend, then he will definitely return to play next Thursday.

"If I can't run, I can't do anything," Jacobs said. "That's just me being all the way honest. But if it's just because I feel it a little bit, then I'mma go and I can push through there. "Mentally I am tough enough to push them. But if I can't physcially run in this, yeah it's going to be what it is. Worst case, if I don't play this week, Thursday I'm definitely playing."

The Packers vs Vikings game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FOX. Next week, they take on the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day (Nov.27).
