De'Aaron Fox made his season debut during the San Antonio Spurs' game against the New Orleans Pelicans at the Frost Bank Center on Saturday. The explosive point guard played his first professional game in seven months after sustaining a season-ending finger injury on March 12.

In his comeback, Fox slotted straight into the starting lineup and replaced Julian Champagnie. Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell and Harrison Barnes were the other starters on the night.

Fox endured a slow start to the game and missed both of his field goal attempts in the first quarter. The former Sacramento Kings star went berserk in the second quarter and shot a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor in the period. He completely shifted the momentum of the game, turning the tide in the Spurs’ favor with his composed and impactful performance.

At halftime, De'Aaron Fox had 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range. He also recorded three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 16 minutes.
