Under the Triple H creative regime, many superstars are pushed to new heights, and Jey Uso is a prime example. However, despite having a title reign, a 31-year-old star failed to get enough spotlight on SmackDown, and that name is Giulia.
The Japanese star is no longer the Women's United States Champion after losing to Chelsea Green in under two minutes on the blue brand. In this article, we will be looking at three indications that imply that Triple H has given up on the SmackDown star.
#3. Lack of TV time under Triple H's creative control
Despite winning the Women's United States Championship, Giulia barely appeared on SmackDown TV. Even during her title reign, she didn't have any major feuds or title defenses on the Nick Aldis show.
This lack of screen time is a clear sign that Triple H has seemingly no interest in putting effort into Giulia's booking and has given up on her. If The Game had any plans for the Japanese star as a mid-card champion, he would have booked her in significant rivalries.
#2. She lost the title in a squash match
WWE pursued Giulia for years & signed her just to horribly book her on the main roster. I don't have an issue with her losing the title, but the way they executed it & handled her run was awful.
Giulia's title loss is another sign that the Chief Content Officer has given up on her. Despite her title reign lasting around 133 days, Giulia lost the championship in a squash match to Chelsea Green.
This loss has become a major disappointment among fans, who also expressed their unhappiness on the internet about Giulia's poor booking on the Friday Night Show. If Giulia had lost the title after an exciting match, the situation would have been entirely different.
#1. No payoff for her alliance with Kiana James
A few weeks ago, Giulia and Kiana James were seen forming an alliance on SmackDown. Both were booked in a tag team match, but they were defeated by Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffany Stratton.
Although Giulia and Kiana's alliance started on SmackDown, they received no payoff from their pairing, which is a big surprise. With the title loss, it seems that Triple H had dropped this idea and instead considered taking the title off the 31-year-old star.
It remains to be seen what plans Triple H has next for the former Women's United States Champion. We can only hope WWE will utilize Giulia effectively, especially since she was a big star in Japan and is also a former NJPW Strong Women's Champion, along with holding many other titles.
