Jalen Green suffered a setback in the first quarter of the Phoenix Suns' clash against the LA Clippers on Saturday. Green picked up a hamstring injury after driving to the lane before kicking it out for a Ryan Dunn triple, which missed.
Green limped off the court immediately after the play, before exiting with the help of the Suns' staff, as he could not put weight on his right leg. He was later ruled out of the game.

The play seemed to aggravate Green's hamstring issues, which he had been dealing with since the start of the 2025-2026 season.

Green missed Phoenix's first eight games this season due to a hamstring issue after picking it up in the preseason while the Suns were in China.
In his lone game this season on Thursday against the same Clippers squad, Green impressed with 29 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals on 23 minutes of playing time to mark his Suns debut.
Before re-aggravating the injury on Saturday, Green had two points and one assist in seven minutes.
Green was the Suns' biggest acquisition in the massive deal that brought former Suns star Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets, the franchise that drafted Green as the second pick in the 2021 NBA draft.
The Suns are expected to lean heavily again to longtime star Devin Booker while Green is out with the injury.
Jalen Green says he is learning alongside Devin Booker in Phoenix
Jalen Green and Devin Booker play almost identically to each other, but the younger Green only wants to learn and develop his game even more alongside the Suns star.
According to Green, he is trying to learn from Booker to start the season, as he looks like he fits well with his new team.
"It was good, we got a little vibe in training camp before the injury," the new Suns guard said, via Shane Young of NBA.com. "Off the court it's a vibe, on the court it's even better. There's a lot of space out there. We're able to build off each other and we're talking the whole game. He's a veteran guard that's been there before and done it before." "So I'm learning everything I can from him while I'm out there trying to help him win."In their first nine games this season, the Suns put up a 4-5 record, led by Booker's averages of 30.2 points, and 7.0 assists per game.
