WBC light heavyweight champion David Benavidez and challenger Anthony Yarde have pledged a big-punching shootout in Riyadh.
Former super middleweight standout Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) is campaigning at 175 pounds for the third time following points wins over leading contenders Oleksandr Gvozdyk and David Morrell.
This is Benavidez's first bout since being upgraded from interim to full champion by the WBC, amid former undisputed champion Dmitry Bivol's ongoing injury absence.
Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) will hope it is a case of third time lucky, having twice fallen short in brave world title tilts against Sergey Kovalev and Bivol's great rival Artur Beterbiev.
With 48 career knockouts between them, it's safe to expect fireworks and for Benavidez or Yarde to take the ringside judges out of the equation.
