Former F1 driver Damon Hill took to his official social media account to react to Oscar Piastri's latest social media post. He shared his unique thoughts as the McLaren driver uploaded a sim racing video on Instagram, amid the one-week break in F1.

Piastri uploaded a reel on the Meta-owned platform, where the Australian driver was driving in iRacing. Posting the video on his Instagram story, Hill wrote:

"It's a lovely day, take the dog for a walk."

The above statement signified that Piastri did not forget to spend time racing despite the week-long break. Here's the screenshot of Damon Hill's Instagram story:

Oscar Piastri claimed victory at the recently concluded Spanish GP, a race he started from pole. The #81 driver clinched the win ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris, and extended his lead in the championship further.

With this, the Australian driver has taken five wins in nine races and is regarded as the hot favorite to win the title this season. Piastri leads the championship with 186 points, compared to his teammate, Norris, with 176 points.

Max Verstappen, the reigning champion, is in P3 with 137 points as the Red Bull driver lost a huge chunk of points after receiving a 10-second time penalty at the Circuit de Barcelona race last Sunday. In the Constructors' championship, McLaren leads by a mile (362 points) from Ferrari, Mercedes, and Red Bull.

Former F1 driver pointed out the title-winning difference between Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri

Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer revealed the difference that he saw between Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri when it comes to the title fight. Speaking about Piastri, the F1 analyst stated that the McLaren driver was far calmer and composed compared to the Red Bull star.

"Oscar also seems to have the calmest head, certainly that I can remember, in Formula 1. It's still early stages in his career, and we haven't yet seen him under title-deciding pressure, but the man is insanely calm with whatever is going on around him. "I’ve yet to see him make pressure mistakes, and you can’t imagine him squandering points due to red mist, as Verstappen did on Sunday," Palmer further added, via F1.com.

While Jolyon Palmer had his point, it's still too early to differentiate between Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri since the former was racing in a far inferior machine. The McLaren MCL39 is a beast in 2025, whereas the Red Bull RB21 is barely a match, and is nearly three-tenths slower.
