50 Cent has reacted to his ex-girlfriend, Vivica A. Fox telling a crowd not to date the rapper. She also mentioned she regrets being in a relationship with him.

Taking to Instagram on November 10, 50 Cent took a jibe at Vivica Fox's statements. He shared an AI-generated image of himself holding a red and blue pill in either and wrote:

"Either way I’m a have that a*s in the matrix. You know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica."

Cent's comments came after Vivica Fox spoke about her relationship with the rapper in a keynote speech at the New Jersey Ultimate Women’s Expo this month. Fox reportedly dated Cent in 2003, when she was 17 years old.

"Don’t date 50 Cent. Don’t date no damn rappers. Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh not to cry no more. But I did it," Fox said during her speech.

Vivica Fox and 50 Cent's relationship began in 2003 when the rapper flirted with her during the BET Awards that year. The two reportedly dated for around eight months but have often made headlines and generated controversy. Fox has also previously opened up about the relationship in previous public comments.

In a 2021 interview with VladTV, Vivica Fox opened up about her relationship with 50 Cent, calling him the "love of his life." She said:

"We met after he said the thing at the Soul Train Music Awards, ‘And I want to thank Vivica Fox for wearing that dress.' I was shocked. I was just kinda like, wow. And then after that, his people got in touch with my people and next thing I know, we were on the phone and my birthday was coming up and he’s such a gentleman. He’s very generous. His—I know him as Curtis, always will, and the 50 Cent, those are his performing things and who he is as a man. So, I met Curtis."

She continued:

"The love that I had for him, and still to this day, will always — he was the love of my life. I will admit that without any reservations. He will always have a special place in my heart. But the reason that the relationship ended is because we went way too public, way too fast … I really love him."

Moreover, Fox also claimed that the reason behind their fallout was that they went public too soon. Given another chance, she would have liked to keep the relationship private. Further, she also recalled how Cent was once very angry at her and converted a 12-carat engagement ring to propose her into a pair of earrings.

Fox also recalled that she first realized her relationship with 50 Cent was over when the rapper said in a radio interview that they were no longer together. Meanwhile, Cent also responded to her comments at that time in an interview with Kris Kaylin. He said:

"I’m never bothered by when she says that. At the time that we actually connected with each other, we were unconscious of everything else."

Cent also claimed that the media attention and the public nature of their relationship ultimately led to their breakup.

"She’ll always say — if you listen to her — [the relationship] would’ve been private. It got so uncomfortable with everybody else — when you get pushed and pulled in different directions without it even being her decision. Her publicist would say, ‘Do this.’ This person, ‘Do this.’ And then you go, ‘All right. This is not the right thing," he said.

50 Cent and Vivica Fox have also taken public shots at each other, especially after the latter once said the rapper had "f*ckboy tendencies" and made controversial comments about Black women.

"When I read that, I was like, ‘Really?’ You would say that because you don’t want anyone to challenge you or talk to you. You want somebody to sit over there and be a pretty little dog that you can just pay. You can’t handle a Black woman, can you?," Fox said.

50 Cent has also often reacted to Fox's public comments over the years.
