Indiana's Fernando Mendoza and Oregon's Dante Moore led their teams to victories in Week 11. Mendoza led the Hoosiers to a win over the Penn State Nittany Lions while Moore guided the Ducks to a victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes.
College football analyst Colin Cowherd was impressed by Mendoza and Moore's performances, and he's ranked them as his top two college football quarterbacks. While speaking on the 'Colin Cowherd Podcast' this week, he said,
"To me, Dante Moore and Mendoza have separated. Those are the two best college quarterbacks. If they come out, they're one and two in some order. I like Dante Moore’s wiggle. He moves really well. Really impressive."•

Both quarterbacks are eligible for the 2026 NFL draft, and Cowherd sees both as fascinating NFL prospects. The veteran analyst was impressed by how both highly rated shot callers performed over the weekend.
The Indiana Hoosiers are 10-0 for the season, while the Oregon Ducks are 8-1. Both programs are well-positioned to feature in the college football playoffs.
Indiana and Oregon QBs vying for Heisman Trophy
The college football regular season is coming to an end, and the Heisman Trophy race is heating up. Indiana's Fernando Mendoza and Oregon's Dante Moore have varying chances at winning the coveted prize.
According to Yahoo Sports, Mendoza has the second-best odds in all of football. The Indiana Hoosiers star has +220 odds after playing in 10 games this season.
Mendoza has led the Hoosiers to a 10-0 record, while amassing a stat line of 2,491 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He's behind Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin in the current odds.
Dante Moore's odds to win the 2025 Heisman Trophy are significantly lower than Mendoza's. The Oregon Ducks' shot caller has +40000 to win the award.
Moore has posted a stat line of 1,884 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions in nine games. He'll need video game numbers in the last three games of the season to go up on the Heisman Trophy list.
Mendoza and the Hoosiers' next game is against the Wisconsin Badgers, while Dante Moore and the Ducks are facing off against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Both QBs will look to excel for the rest of the season, and potentially end their collegiate football careers by lifting the national championship.
