The New York Liberty defeated the Dallas Wings 85-76 on Tuesday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Jonquel Jones led New York with 15 points and 10 rebounds on 6-for-12 shooting. Leonie Fiebich scored 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting, including 2-for-4 from 3-point range. Emma Meesseman finished with 13 points on 6-for-13 shooting.

Stephanie Talbot contributed 13 points on 4-for-6 shooting, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range, off the bench. Natasha Cloud added 12 points and six assists on 5-for-9 shooting.

Paige Bueckers led Dallas with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists on 8-for-15 shooting. Arike Ogunbowale finished with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists. Maddy Siegrist contributed 13 points on 6-for-9 shooting off the bench, while Haley Jones added 11 points.

The Liberty won their second straight game. They are No. 2 in the WNBA with a 19-10 record. Meanwhile, the Wings (8-22) are now on a three-game losing skid. They are No. 11 and are seven games out of the eighth and final playoff spot.

In their previous meeting on July 28, the Wings had a 92-82 win. The teams will battle again on Friday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

Dallas Wings vs. New York Liberty game summary

The New York Liberty had a 24-15 lead over the Dallas Wings at the end of the opening quarter. Leonie Fiebich scored six points for New York, while Arike Ogunbowale had five points for Dallas.

The Wings outscored the Liberty 20-13 in the second quarter. New York led 37-35 at halftime. Jonquel Jones led the Liberty with 10 points and five rebounds on 4-for-7 shooting. No Wings player scored in double figures in the first half. Paige Bueckers and Maddy Siegrist each scored seven points for Dallas.

New York outscored Dallas 23-18 in the third quarter to increase its lead to seven (60-53) heading into the final period.

The Liberty increased their lead to 13 (70-57) three minutes into the fourth quarter. Down the stretch, Ogunbowale's free throws trimmed New York's lead to seven (83-76) with about 30 seconds remaining. However, the Liberty held on for the win.
