New Dallas Mavericks president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri is ready to put his fingerprint on the organization.
In order to do that, he's trying to trade that he's previously experienced some serious success with.
Dallas Mavericks interested in trading for Kawhi Leonard
According to a report from Christian Clark, Dan Woike and Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Mavericks have engaged the Los Angeles Clippers on a potential trade involving star forward Kawhi Leonard.
Ujiri famously brought Leonard to Toronto prior to the 2018-19 NBA season and his addition resulted in the first championship in Raptors history.

Dallas Mavericks president Masai Ujiri has interest in reuniting with Kawhi Leonard, multiple league sources with knowledge of Dallas’ thinking told The Athletic.
The Mavericks and LA Clippers have discussed a deal that would send the seven-time All-Star to Dallas for a package that would include P.J. Washington, Klay Thompson and draft picks, said league sources granted anonymity to describe deliberations still in progress.
