A 24-year-old WWE star has teased becoming a double champion. She is all set to challenge for another title next week.

Earlier this month at NXT Deadline, WWE Evolve Women's Champion Kendal Grey won the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge. Consequently, she will get an opportunity to wrestle Jacy Jane for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at NXT New Year's Evil on January 6, 2026.

Last night on the silver and black brand, Jacy Jayne scored an impressive win over Kendal Grey's tag team partner, Wren Sinclair. Fatal Influence started beating down Sinclair after the match, but Grey made the save and took out the three members of the heel faction all by herself.

Earlier today, Kendal Gray posted a picture of herself from the show, posing with the NXT Women's Championship. She edited her name on the side plates of the title belt, teasing that she is going to win it from Jayne.

"2026…" Grey wrote.

Kendal Grey opens up about backstage reaction to recent WWE NXT title change

On the December 16 edition of NXT, Thea Hail challenged Blake Monroe for the NXT Women's North American Championship. The Glamour was meant to retain the title, but she could not get her shoulder up after the challenger hit her with a springboard back senton, and the referee made the three count.

Speaking on Going Ringside, Kendal Grey pointed out that the finish left everyone shocked and speechless. The NXT Evolve Women's Champion praised both the stars before claiming that she was happy for Thea Hail. She added that the finish was unexpected, and they'll have to wait and see what's next.

"We were all shook, speechless, all of us. But yeah, big upset for Thea. So happy for Thea, you know, and we'll just have to see what happens next… We were shocked. I mean, Thea is a good wrestler, so we knew she had it in her, but Blake's also a good wrestler, and she was really doing good. And so, no one expected it, and it happened, and now we'll have to see," Grey said.

It will be interesting to see how WWE deals with the accidental title change.
