Joao Felix has built his best XI of players he has played with, with Al-Nassr and Portugal national teammate Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal getting the nod.
Felix has had a journeyman professional career so far, having played for several top clubs in Europe before joining Al-Nassr in the summer. He recently sat down for a session with the Saudi Pro League, where he was asked to unveil his all-time teammate XI.
The 26-year-old started in goal and named Atletico Madrid goalie Jan Oblak as his pick. Portugal defenders dominated the backline, as Felix chose Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, and Nuno Mendes. Former Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea defender Thiago Silva completed the back four.
Felix entrusted the midfield to two of his former Barcelona teammates, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, while his compatriot Bruno Fernandes completed the trio. Moving into attack, the Al-Nassr forward named himself, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lamine Yamal as the front three.
Felix and Ronaldo reunited at club level after the former joined Al-Nassr from Chelsea in July for a reported fee of €30 million. The duo appear to share a strong bond, with reports claiming that Ronaldo played a decisive role in Felix’s decision to accept Al-Nassr’s offer.
Both players have enjoyed a remarkable 2025-26 campaign so far, playing vital roles in Al-Nassr’s impressive run of form. The Knights of Najd have won all nine of their league matches and sit atop the table. Felix and Ronaldo lead the scoring chart, sitting in first and second positions, with 11 and 10 goals, respectively.
Joao Felix admits loving playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
In October, Felix opened up about playing with Cristiano Ronaldo at club level, explaining that the 40-year-old’s presence on the pitch has really helped him, as defenders often focus on Ronaldo, leaving him with more space to operate.
He told Canal GOAT:
“Yes, playing with Cristiano... there you go... It's Cristiano. Everyone knows what he's capable of, as we saw. He misses a penalty and the next minute he scores that goal. It's easy to play with him. “Sometimes it even ends up being good, because since it's Cristiano, they end up focusing more on him and then leaving the others with a bit more space. He ends up helping the forwards, both me, Mané, and Coman. And yes, playing with him on the pitch is something else.”To date, Joao Felix and Cristiano Ronaldo have featured alongside each other across club and country 53 times and have combined for six goals.
