The Indianapolis Colts had a choice to make for Week 17.
Who would be their starting quarterback? Philip Rivers, Riley Leonard or maybe even Anthony Richardson?
On Tuesday, Colts head coach Shane Steichen made the announcement: Rivers will start again.
Colts are sticking with QB Philip Rivers this week vs. Jaguars, per head coach Shane Steichen. Indy, with playoff hopes damaged, has young options Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson (if healthy). But Rivers will get more run to build off an impressive Week 16.

This will be Rivers' third start since his return from retirement.
In the first, he led the Colts to a go-ahead field goal with 47 seconds left, only for the Seahawks to get their own game-winning kick right back.
Then on Monday night, Rivers was sharp, but the Colts' defense didn't force a single punt by the 49ers in a 48-27 loss.
Now, with two games left and the Colts' playoff odds down in the single-digit percentage, Rivers will start again.
The Texans actually play Saturday, which will inform the Colts about their playoff chances more than they know right now.
But it sounds like Rivers will get the first-team reps this week regardless.
Some Colts fans won't like this. The sixth-round rookie Leonard could potentially get development opportunities by starting these last two weeks.
But the Colts aren't giving up yet, and they're also rewarding the 44-year old Rivers for how he's played. His next retirement is coming soon, probably, but for now, Rivers is still out there.
