At the end of a week when free agent signings are reported by NFL insiders all over the map, the Dallas Cowboys have made some things official.

On Friday night, the Cowboys announced five free agent signings as official.

Those five guys:

  • Cobie Durant
  • Matt Hennessy
  • Otito Ogbonnia
  • Tyrus Wheat
  • Princeton Wheat

Durant is the most high-profile player, a talented cornerback from the Los Angeles Rams.

He has played in 61 games across four seasons with the Rams since being drafted. His first year, he intercepted three passes in just 13 games.

Durant only intercepted one pass between 2023 and 2024, but he bounced back in 2025 by picking off three passes.

Hennessy is listed at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds and is 28 years old from Long Island.

He spent his first five-and-a-half NFL seasons with the Falcons. His best year was 2021, when he started all 17 games for Atlanta. In all, Hennessy played 45 games, starting 22, for the Falcons before joining the 49ers midway through 2024.

He played all 17 games for the 'Niners in 2025, starting two of them, and totaled 19 games in all for San Francisco during his career.

Ogbonnia adds depth at defensive tackle.

Wheat returns to Dallas after playing 20 games for the Cowboys between 2023 and 2024.

Fant has been with the Cowboys' practice squad for a few years, as well as 11 regular season appearances.

Now, they're all officially with the organization for the season ahead.
