Nothing is better than delivery day when you’re a cat. The second that package hits the floor, you know there’s a fresh new box just waiting to be claimed. Never mind whatever the hooman actually ordered. That part is completely irrelevant. The real prize is the cardboard. You just have to patiently supervise the unboxing process, wait for them to get their stuff out of the way, and then move right in. Thanks for the new box, hooman!

No need for the stuff inside

It’s hard to be mad about being put in a box when the box is made of cardboard. Normally, getting picked up and placed somewhere against your will would earn a few angry meows, but this is different. You’re already in one of your favorite places! There are cardboard walls to rub against, corners to sniff, and plenty of room to settle in and get comfy. Fine, hooman, we’ll allow it this time. But only because you picked a pretty good box.

The saddest part is when the boxes eventually have to get thrown out. Your cat has been sleeping in that thing for weeks, and now you’re supposed to just break it down and toss it? If cats had it their way, no box would ever leave the house. They’d keep every single delivery box until the entire living room was basically one giant cardboard playground. Unfortunately, hoomans need somewhere to walk, so eventually a few boxes have to go.
