Colts' Tyler Warren snubbed from Pro Bowl roster by Chiefs' Travis Kelce

Tyler Warren has shone brightly as a rookie tight end for the Indianapolis Colts.

Despite that, he missed the Pro Bowl roster on the initial naming of the teams on Tuesday.

ESPN's Seth Walder writes that Warren was snubbed.

The guy that Walder thinks Warren should've made it in place of? Chiefs legend Travis Kelce.

"Warren and Kelce are close in production. Kelce narrowly has the edge in receiving yards (803 compared to 748), but Warren has a slightly higher yards per route run (1.80 to 1.75)," Walder writes. "But they had significantly different quarterback situations. For as much as Daniel Jones exceeded expectations in Indianapolis this season, he's still nowhere close to Patrick Mahomes. And while Warren's production has dipped lately, when the Colts' offense was humming earlier this season, the rookie tight end was a huge part of that success. I give him the edge over the veteran."

It would always be hard to see Kelce left off the team, though.

After such a great career, and maybe in his last season, Kelce seemed likely to always be selected to this game.

Warren will likely have plenty of Pro Bowl honors in his future. He's a do-everything player. The Colts even give him run plays.

But for now, it's Kelce lined up with a Pro Bowl spot, and not Warren.
