Colts' Tyler Warren draft pick is biggest win of NFL Draft first round

4 hours ago 1

Tyler Warren was a top-10 talent in this year's NFL Draft.

In fact, Mel Kiper Jr. ranked him No. 7 on his big board.

The Indianapolis Colts got Warren at the No. 14 overall pick on Thursday night. That's a steal.

Warren, out of Penn State, was considered by many as the top tight end in the draft.

That didn't stop the Chicago Bears from taking Michigan's Colston Loveland at No. 10 overall, before Warren.

Better for Indy, though.

Warren, at 6-foot-6, 249 pounds, can do it all.

In 2024, he caught 104 passes for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns.

He ran 26 times for 218 yards and four scores. He became a QB sneak expert and Wildcat runner for the Nittany Lions.

Warren even completed 3-of-6 passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.

The big guy gets open, runs after the catch and makes high-point contested grabs.

The Colts might still need to solve their quarterback position.

But at least they've got a generational offensive talent in Warren, and they got him as the best value of the first round.
