Colts trade rumor could receive interest from Raiders, Rams, Lions, Jets

The Indianapolis Colts have a quarterback available for a trade this offseason.

It's clear that Anthony Richardson's days in Indianapolis are numbered, and NFL reporter Evan Sidery reveals that the Colts are actively shopping the young signal-caller.

Sidery adds that a Day 3 pick should be enough to acquire Richardson.

The Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, and New York Jets could be among the teams interested in trading for Richardson.

Los Angeles and Detroit need to find a backup quarterback behind their starting signal-callers, Matthew Stafford for the Rams and Jared Goff for the Lions.

Richardson would be a solid option for both squads, and it would give him the opportunity to learn from a veteran signal-caller.

Las Vegas could also be in the market for a backup if the new coaching staff wants to replace Aidan O'Connell. Trading for Richardson to serve as the backup for presumed No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza is an option general manager John Spyrek could explore.

New York traded away Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs. Taking a flyer on Richardson to back up Geno Smith would be a savvy move by general manager Darren Mougey. Landing with the Jets would also give Richardson a chance to play and get his career back on track with a new franchise.

Richardson needs a change of scenery, and he should get it soon, as the Colts prepare to move forward with Daniel Jones as their starting signal-caller.
