The University of New Orleans Privateers director of basketball operations and assistant coach, Percy Miller, reportedly has an interest in the head coaching position at Arizona State.
Miller turned UNO around in the wake of one of the worst periods in school history. The program was tied to a national point-shaving scandal during the 2024-25 season and needed to be reshaped. He turned a four-win program into a conference contender with non-conference wins over TCU and Tulane.
Miller, better known for his background as Grammy Award-winner artist Master P, has found success outside of music. However, it didn't come by not understanding the game. The former NBA player founded the P. Miller Ballers AAU program, which won three national championships and featured future talents including DeMar DeRozan, Brandon Jennings, Lance Stephenson and Jalen Suggs.
Master P is interested in the Arizona State men's basketball coaching gig, per sources.

Miller recently told TMZ that he's receiving interest from several college basketball programs around the country for both GM and head coaching positions.
Arizona State suffered one of the worst seasons in recent memory, which ended with Bobby Hurley on his way out. The final loss for the Sun Devils was the worst in 56 years — a 91-42 loss at the hands of Iowa State. In fact, Elvis Presley didn't have a No. 1 hit to his name the last time ASU suffered a loss that bad. It was also the worst loss in Big 12 Tournament history.
Miller is a solid candidate for the job. Whether or not Arizona State will interview him remains to be seen.
