Popular WWE star claims she won't retire until she has a match with AJ Lee

A popular WWE star has made it known that she will not retire until she has a match against AJ Lee. The former Divas Champion returned to the company earlier this year after a decade away.

The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez recently spoke with Metro and revealed that she does not plan on retiring until she shares the ring with Lee. The former NXT Women's Champion added that if she could not have a match with Lee, she would start to attack her husband, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, and hit the veteran with her finishing move.

"I’m constantly telling [AJ], “I can’t retire until I have a match with you. We both want to make it work, so you never know,’ she teased. ‘I really hope, and I’m manifesting, that it’ll happen, but I’m just excited to see her back. If I can’t get AJ, I’m gonna Pop Rox CM Punk as much as I can!" she said. [H/T: Metro]

AJ Lee teamed up with CM Punk to defeat Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in a mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza 2025 in her return to the ring. CM Punk is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on the January 5, 2026, episode of RAW.

WWE star AJ Lee reveals why she wanted to be in the WarGames match

AJ Lee recently shared why she wanted to be in the Women's WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series 2025.

Speaking on the What's Your Story? podcast with Stephanie McMahon, Lee noted that she didn't get to be in longer matches in the past and wanted to jump "into the deep end" upon her return to WWE.

"Yes, so I figured because I was in a generation where we got like seven minutes max I thought I would just jump into the deep end and do 30-minute matches and f***ing WarGames cage matches. Gonna ease back into things," she said.

The 38-year-old tapped out Becky Lynch via the Black Widow submission hold during the Women's WarGames match. AJ Lee also helped Maxxine Dupri capture the Women's Intercontinental Championship from The Man last month on WWE RAW. Lynch has seemingly lost it since dropping the title and has been accusing the company of corruption for several weeks.
