Colorado Buffaloes Head coach Deion Sanders.

Deion Sanders is making headlines for the second straight season, but this time it comes for all the wrong reasons.
The Colorado Buffaloes have become a punching bag lately, allowing at least 50 points in consecutive games and likely failing to qualify for a bowl game.
This is a far cry from the program that notched nine regular-season wins and produced last year’s Heisman Trophy winner.
Sanders has made a quarterback switch again, this time turning to true freshman Julian Lewis.
The Georgia native was the third-ranked pocket passer in the 2025 class and could inject some life into a team that desperately needs it.
Colorado visits West Virginia as a 6.5-point underdog Saturday, with a total of 53.5 points.
The Mountaineers will also feature a true freshman quarterback in Scotty Fox Jr., who took over the starting duties midseason and will make his fourth career start.
WVU has covered each of the past two games, including winning outright last week as a 12.5-point underdog at Houston.
West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez yells from the sideline during the first half of an NCAA college football game against Houston, Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, in Houston. APThe quarterback posted only modest numbers but did account for three touchdowns against the Cougars. The defense proved to be the difference, creating four turnovers.
Given how the CU defense has performed lately, Mountaineers coach Rich Rodriguez should be salivating at the opportunity to unlock his dual-threat quarterback. West Virginia has seemingly turned around its season.
However, it is one thing to back this type of team in the underdog role and another as the favorite.
It is certainly tempting to lay points against the Buffaloes, given they have lost their last two games by a combined 81 points. However, WVU is still 3-6 on the season and I just cannot pull the trigger.

But I do think the offenses can generate points.
Colorado ranks 83rd in defensive efficiency and West Virginia’s offense is performing much better since the QB switch. I also think Colorado’s change will have a positive impact.
I have a 75-60-2 ATS record in this Post sports section and will take Over 53.5 points (-110, FanDuel Sportsbook) as my next play.
