Colombia and DR Congo will continue their push for a place in the World Cup knockout stages when they meet in their second Group K match.

DR Congo stunned Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal when they battled to a 1-1 draw against the Selecao in Houston.

Colombia have a great of their own, James Rodriguez, probably saying farewell to the World Cup, and got their campaign off and running with a 3-1 victory against tournament debutants Uzbekistan.

Another win would put Nestor Lorenzo's side through to the Round of 32 with a game to spare. Although an upset win would not mathematically guarantee DR Congo's passage, it would all but ensure qualification as one of the eight best third-place finishers at the very least.

Colombia seemingly came through the match against Uzbekistan unscathed.

It means James RodriguezLuis Diaz and striker Luis Suarez are all primed to start in the attacking line.

DR Congo projected starting 11

(5-3-2, right to left): L. Mpasi — 2. A. Wan-Bissaka, 22. C. Mbemba, 4. A. Tuanzebe, 3. S. Kapuadi, 26. A. Masuaku — 14. Noah Sadiki, 8. S. Moutoussamy, 25. E. Kaywembea — 17. C. Bakambu, 20. Y. Wissa

  • Injured: None
  • Suspended: None
  • On a yellow card: C. Mbemba

DR Congo boss Sebastien Desabre has a decision to make over whether or not to stick with the back five that frustrated Portugal.

This was not the Leopards' usual formation during qualification but it proved effective against a technically more gifted side.

Desabre must weigh up whether to attack a Colombia side that is a level below Portugal or stick with the policy of containment, with outsiders Uzbekistan to come in the final round of group matches.

If he goes with the latter course, he could name an unchanged side. Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki was introduced early in the second half against Portugal and might replace Ngal'ayel Mukau from the start this time.
