The Phoenix Suns have a new record-holder for the most 3-pointers made in a single season.
With his production from long range during Phoenix's 127-107 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night, Collin Gillespie officially passed Quentin Richardson for the most triples made by a Sun in a season.
Richardson connected on 226 triples during the 2004-05 season. Gillespie has now made 227 this season, and counting.
— Phoenix Suns (@Suns) April 2, 2026After the game, Gillespie expressed gratitude about the achievement, though it would have meant more to him if it came during a win.
"It's a great accomplishment," Gillespie said. "And I'm extremely grateful and thankful to everybody here for helping me, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really mean much right now with the loss."
