Coco Gauff's brother Codey sent a heartwarming message of support to the World No. 3 after the end of her 2025 tennis season at the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Gauff went into the prestigious year-end event as its defending champion, but her title defense was cut short in the group stage itself, with losses to Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka proving decisive.
Gauff began her campaign in Riyadh with an erratic display against Pegula, ultimately falling to a 3-6, 7-6(4), 2-6 defeat. The American though, kept her chances of progressing to the last four alive with a dominant 6-3, 6-2 win over Jasmine Paolini in her next match. However, Aryna Sabalenka's 7-6(5), 6-2 victory against Gauff and Pegula's win over Paolini in the final round of group stage matches dashed the No. 3's hopes.
In the aftermath of her exit from the 2025 WTA Finals, Coco Gauff took to her Instagram and shared a post featuring four pictures of her during her time in Riyadh. The two-time singles Major champion penned a thankful message for the post's caption, writing:
"Always an honor to be a part of and compete against the top 8 in the world, thank you Riyadh 💜"Urging his sister to start focusing on the upcoming 2026 tennis season already, Gauff's brother Codey entered the comments and wrote:
"26 otw🔥🔥"

The first, remarkably, marked her second singles Major triumph after she displayed the very best of her widely hailed athleticism and fighting spirit to recover from a set down against World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final, just as she did back at the 2023 US Open.
More recently, the American won her second title of 2025 at the WTA 1000 Wuhan Open following a straight-set win over Jessica Pegula at the last hurdle. Despite these achievements, the 21-year-old had to endure a lot of bothersome moments on the court for the majority of the year due to her still-problematic serve.
Ahead of her US Open campaign this year, Gauff roped in renowned tennis biomechanics expert Gavin MacMillan into her team in a bid to fix the issues with her serve once and for all. However, so far, it seems MacMillan's collaboration with Gauff is still very much a work-in-progress and will possibly show more fruitful results on court in 2026.
