CM Punk sends clear message regarding WWE future following John Cena's retirement

6 hours ago 2

After over two decades of memories and moments, the WWE universe watched John Cena ride off into the sunset on Saturday night. Cena left it all in the ring in his final match, but he ultimately tapped out to Gunther to close out his illustrious career.

It will likely take fans a while to process and accept Cena’s retirement, so the last thing they want to think about is another legend stepping away from the ring. Luckily, when it comes to CM Punk, they won’t have to think about his potential retirement for a while.

CM Punk has no plans to retire any time soon

Despite the fact that he’s 47 years old with a ton of miles on his body, Punk made it clear that retirement isn’t on his radar right now following Cena’s final match.

“When I make allusions to the end of whatever my career is going to look like, it’s not because I feel like I’m there,” Punk said on the Saturday Night’s Main Event post-show. “It’s because I look back at the entirety of my career and there is a lot more road behind me than there is in front of me.

“Trust me, I am the champion for a reason, and I’m here to stay, and nobody’s going to change that. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.”
